This week was the first week Joanna joined Sharmyn on air at WAMO 100.1 FM. The Future Flavez radio show is a geared to showcase local artists from the Burgh who have great, unaired music. The show will air every Monday night from 11:00 pm – 11:30 pm. We go through the submissions and choose the music we feel best represents the Pittsburgh Music scene. Every week we will introduce new artists and their single’s. We will be conducting interviews with some local artists as well. Lastly, we are adding other elements into the show and will be announcing soon very exciting news.

1) Young Midas’ “The Other Woman”
~ Young Midas killed this single! We had to play it for our first Future Flavez show together! He has an amazing vocal range and the song has a great message. Unfortunately, Midas was recently involved in a severe automobile accident because he was texting and driving. He has slowly been recovering and soon he will be back making the music we love. 2) Da Army’s “Loud”
~ Da Army consists of a trio of artists; Blackoutt, Triple B, and T-Krazie. From San Antonio, TX, Da Army was successful in releasing their single, “It Wobble” which went into regular rotation with KBBT 98.5 the beat, reaching #1 request status for over 10 weeks straight. They have dropped a total of 8 projects to date. Their biggest success came with the remake of Pittsburgh’s own, Wiz Khalifa’s “Black n Yellow!” Da Army titled their single, “Black n Silver” to showcase their hometown football team, the San Antonio Spurs. This second single was also picked up by local radio stations brining the group even more recognition and success. 3 ) Freddie G.S.’s “Julian”

4) Yung Optu’s “Just Wanna Know”
~ “Rashad Dent A.K.A “Yung Optu” is a 19 Year old Hip Hop/R&B artist from Pittsburgh,Pa but was raised in Charlotte,NC, And that was were he descovered his talent for music. Four years in the game now Yung Optu is mixxing his own songs Making alot of his beats and write all his songs, he is well on his way to becoming one the greatests in the music game, Yung Optu has develope a huge buzz nation Wide with Is music, collaborating with alot of main stream and underground artist. He’s exceptionally talented and Draws a huge crowd at every preformance and knows how To Rock The Crowd. Yung Optu Labels His Music “Slick Pimpin” he says he can kick it to the audience on so many different levels, He Can Deliver Some Smooth Music, Crunk Music, Mind Stimulating Music, What Ever The Fans Desire. 5) Davincci’s “Title Wave” ~ Last but not least, his single kicked off the show!! His video “Davincci’s Honor” also has been #2 on RPHH for the last 3 months in a row!!

If your an artist and your interested in having your music on WAMO’s Future Flavez Radio Show, email us your work. Please follow the guidelines I list below or your track will not be considered. If your interested in coming on the show please email us to that effect and include a sample of your work, social media links, bio, contact information and we will have a sales rep reach out to you.
1) The Mp3 must be CLEAN!! (No cussing or derogatory terminology)
2) The song must be 3-3.5 minutes in length or less.
3) It must be balanced, clear and radio ready as far as sound quality.
