Pittsburgh – Oct. 26 – The Wheel of Skillz returns for Rhyme Calisthenics: The Official MC Competition
This Friday, eight MC’s will be stepping onto the Shadow Lounge stage to compete in several rounds of written and freestyle rhyming challenges. Rhyme Cal vets Jon Quest, 3PFD, and VISION are determined to become Rhyme Cal champions, while relative newcomers Jeremiah Marcel, ManiaK, and Reason plan to spoil those plans with a victory of their own. Additionally, Rhyme Cal NYC Series champion Jadon and New Jersey-native Tony Green are making the trip to compete with the hopes of taking bragging rights back to their respective homes.
Performing earlier in the night will be Oddisee,the rapper/producer HipHopDX calls “a brilliantly independent idealist who goes against the grain.” Attendees will catch him doing a rare performance with his band. Also performing with a band will beMH the Verb, a former Pittsburgh resident who’s been crafting his skills in Philly and New York.

An additional note for our friends and followers: Rhyme Cal returns to Brooklyn for an event at Public Assembly on Nov. 1. Also this Fall, Rhyme Cal will be making its Boston and Toronto debuts.
