The weatherman predicted rain, but no satellite could predict this storm. Fresh off the release of their acclaimed Training Camp mixtape, The CAMP is here to welcome you to your dreams with “Before the Storm”, the 1st official video from the project . Producer Mysterious (Who also shot/directed the video) sets the dark, and foreboding tone, while The CAMP’s muscle (MCs Draztyk, Kid A, 41Duece, YM Dakid, Jay Nizzy) punish the track and prove Training Camp isn’t just fun and games. Its almost time for Training Camp, and what better way to celebrate a new season than with footage of some of the game’s newest stars on the rise! The CAMP unleashed “Too Legit”(a remake of Slaughterhouse’s “Hammer Dance”) earlier this year, but they’ve been holding back something extra. What is it you ask??? A video of the Training Camp banger shot impromptu after a performance on the south side of Pittsburgh. Shot, directed, and edited by CAMP-member, and mega-super-producer Mysterious. Training Camp begins August 18th @ The Rex Theater.

Pittsburgh Producers on the Same Beat?

Exhibit 1: Pittsburgh producer Mysterious is known for his Beat Making video series on YouTube. His 64th video “Chrono Trigger” was released on January 7, 2012. The beat was named for the sample which comes from the video game. Take a listen…

Exhibit 2: Wiz Khalifa’s producer Sledgren, who is no stranger to using samples, created the beats for “Never Been” and “Never Been Part 2″ using the same sample. What’s interesting is the Part 2 beat, which was recently released, sounds very familiar…coincidence or not?
